These scriptures below are portions that relate to what we studied Sunday. Read God’s word and think about are you doing what God has asked of you and how this relates to actions having consequences in our lives.

When I was in high school, I remember one of my favorite teachers having a sign above his door that said, “Actions have consequences.” So few of us teenagers seemed to be able to grasp that concept and lived like there were no consequences. But something little like seeing that sign every day for a year really made a lasting difference. But, it only says what these verses say.
The last few years especially, I’ve been trying hard to take a step back before I make decisions and judgments. I think it’s helping me not to rush in and make choices I wish I hadn’t. Actions do have consequences.
Thank God for his grace for when we fall on our face and for helping us get back up to turn around and start over.

That is so true about actions have consequences. I have met a few people in my time who think that when we ask God to forgive us of our sins that the consequences of those actions are taken away. that is not always the case. Having the attitude that I can go out and do what I want and ask God to forgive me later questions the genuineness of the prayer and it definitely doesn’t remove the natural consequence.
